Sophia Wilson is an Australian-born, Ōtepoti Dunedin-based poet. A mother of three and former mental health worker, she is the recipient of awards for poetry including the Caselberg Trust International Poetry Prize, the Robert Burns Poetry Competition and the Hippocrates Prize for Poetry and Medicine. Her poetry collection Sea Skins, was joint-winner of the Flying Islands Prize for Emerging Poets and was published by Flying Island Books / Cerberus Press in 2023.
