Louise Wallace is the author of four collections of poetry with Te Herenga Waka University Press. Her most recent book, This Is A Story About Your Mother, was released in May of this year.

She is the founder and editor of Starling, and was the editor of Ōrongohau | Best New Zealand Poems 2022. She completed an MA in Creative Writing at the International Institute of Modern Letters in 2008, and was the Robert Burns Fellow at the University of Otago in 2015. She lives on the Otago Peninsula with her husband and son.
